Portable sawmills are not typical small farm accessories,
but there are many small farm owners that could put a "Wood-Mizer"
to good use. Custom log sawing, bean poles, tomato stakes, and
selective harvesting of the timber found on most farms are a few
of the uses that come to mind.

The blade is a "band-saw" type blade that is contained in
a carriage that moves back and forth over the log. The thickness
of the wood is determined by the height of the carriage above
the log deck. The log is turned, and clamped in place with a few
easy to use levers.

The thin design of the band-saws blade makes for much less
waste than the circular blade sawmills. Power feed, power height
adjustment, and low noise levels make for easy sawing.
