This bean came to us from Frank Smart of Upper Crabtree in Haywood County, NC . It was originally the Whitey Swanger seed, but Frank has grown it for at least the past 20 years, saving seed each year. He has developed his own strain, that we are calling the Frank Smart Greasy.
